Fukuoka
Fukuoka is situated in the most northern part of Japan’s southern island of Kyushu. Its proximity to the Korean peninsula and the Chinese mainland made this city the first to come in touch with the continental cuisine.
Although a relatively small city, Fukuoka has a lot to offer its visitors: shopping, traditional festivals, great food and a number of interesting sights. The city’s proximity to the Japanese coast also makes it an ideal starting point for marine sports or simply a relaxing day on the beach.
